Refreshing smoked eel tartar


  • 400g of smoked eel
  • 1 thick-cut avocado
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped capers
  • 45 ml of olive oil
  • 20 ml of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of grated lemon peel
  • 4 tablespoons of salmon roe
  • salt and pepper to taste

Cut the smoked eel fillets into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Add onion and capers, mix them with the eel, add the grated lemon peel, olive oil, salt and pepper and mix well again.

Take a round mold or a baking ring, place it in the middle of a plate. Divide avocado slices inside and add some lemon juice. Place the eel mixture on the avocado and add one tablespoon of salmon roe on top. Carefully remove the ring and enjoy this delicious dish, which is served in best restaurants.
